ONLINE RESOURCES FOR STUDENT LEARNING:
STUDY ISLAND:
**One website that I highly recommend is Study Island. This website is designed and structured to meet all the learning objectives for each grade. It has questions designed to meet each category of learning in both Math/Reading. All of these questions are based on the same type of question seen on MAP testing and PSSA testing. It helps students to get prepared and reviews basic skills taught in class.
HOW TO ACCESS STUDY ISLAND:
1. Go to www.Studyisland.com
2. Use students Log in name/pass word to log in
3. Some students "home page" will have assignments already created for them by a teacher (which I have created assignments for all students and I am working on updating those as soon as they are all complete).
4. Click on PA Programs on the left hand side of the screen, then select the correct grade and subject.
5. If the subjects of MATH/READING do not show up on a separate screen, you are able to access the subjects by a tool bar at the top of the screen
6. Once you are on either MATH/READING, you can click on what specific skill you want to study and then go to the top right corner of the screen and click "START STUDYING".
7. Once you click "START STUDYING" you will come to a screen that lets you choose test mode, printable worksheet, or game mode, then you can select the amount of questions for the test.
8. Last, click BEGIN TESTING and you are ready to go! Every time a test is complete the % is tracked on each individual students' home page!
